Sheeter
The sheeter cuts rolls of a wide variety of materials into sheets and stacks. Sheeters, also known as cutters, are especially suited for paper, with among them copying, security and special paper, cardboard, pulp and paper finishing, processing and printing equipment.

Basically, collar types FG or FN can be used for cross-cutting in confined installation conditions. The collar is mounted on a stub shaft. The stub shaft must be rotatable by means of ball bearings. On a carriage that can be moved across the material web, the sleeve is guided resiliently along the cutting edge of the straight knive.
As an alternative to collars, pneumatically actuated shear cut knife holders of various designs can be used. The knife holders perform two motion sequences. Firstly, the vertical stroke to the desired immersion depth and then the horizontal movement, whereby the dished knife is spring-loaded against the bottom knife.
The crush cut knife holders used for this purpose are, like the shear cut holder versions, pneumatically operated. In crush cut, however, only a vertical movement is performed, with the crush cut knife lowering onto the surface of a hardened bar.
